Data Tracking Activity
This project aims to demonstrate my basic ability to gather data, put it into a coherent form, visualize the data, and draw conclusions from said data. The data I used was gathered by Grammarly, which analyzed my writing for approximately ten weeks. From the provided data, I picked out only the information that seemed relevant and interesting, and then transferred it into an excel sheet.
Using simple excel tools I converted this data into easy-to-read visuals. I paired together data that seemed to have a corresponding relationship. From these graphs I was able to make very simple conclusions about the relationships between the data.
Team Presentation
I was assigned to a group of four to prepare and present a presentation on the importance of emotional intelligence in the workplace. In preparing for this presentation, my team and myself worked together in distributing roles and responsibilities, and organizing team meetings to discuss plans and goals. Due to my teammates' skills, we were able to come together and create a great PowerPoint, and perform a great presentation.
Email Activity
This brief email activity involved a scenario in which my supervisor requested help in rewriting an email that was to be sent to the entire department. After analyzing the original email, I first sent it back with corrections and suggestions. Attached with the corrections I sent a completely rewritten and shortened version that I believe would be better received and understood by readers.
Feedback Reflection
This project allowed me to review and provide feedback to various projects from my class mates. By emphasizing tone and clarity, I was able to inspire more impactful and readable work.
